SPORTS Registration

Bowling is now open!  Opening nights are Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, September 5th.  Please follow the directions on the form:

Flag football registration is now open!  Practices for Sunday night will begin, Sunday, August 6 at McQuillan Park from 5:00pm-6:30pm.  Practices during the week will be Wednesdays begin August 16th this year at Soldiers Field from 5:30PM – 7:00pm

Welcome to Flag Football! This is a Unified sport, so athletes with and without disabilities (referred to as Unified Partner) can participate. SOFit

Special Olympics Minnesota’s SOfit health promotion program is a Unified approach to improving and protecting health and wellness for people with and without intellectual disabilities. SOfit offers participants a comprehensive, 360-degree look at wellness and the human spirit. Together, athletes and Unified partners are empowered to challenge and change the way they look at diet, daily exercise and lifestyle choices.  For more information visit this link http://specialolympicsminnesota.org/athletes/sofit/.  If interested, please register here.  The next SOFit program will begin in the fall.  All athletes participating must be registered with Special Olympics MN. (application and medical physical is required)

Additional Sports information:

The Rochester Flyers are happy to offer the following sports to our athletes.  All practices are held once a week at various locations in Rochester.  Seasons are approximately 8-10 weeks long, and include optional competitions at the area and state level.  Specific practice dates and times may vary from year to year.  Signups typically occur 6 weeks prior to the first practice.

January-March

  • Basketball (Full Court, Half Court, Individual Skills)

April-June

  • Athletics

June-August

  • Bocce (Unified Sport option)
  • Golf (Unified Sport Option)

August-October

  • Flag Football (Unified Sport)
