SPORTS Registration

Registrations for basketball, swimming and track now open!  Track – Monday nights, Swimming -Thursday nights, Basketball – half court – Tuesday nights, Full court – if you are on full court your coach will talk to you.  Those wanting to do full court that are currently half court please specify and you will be put on the prospective list.  Since these sports are all at the same season, athletes need to choose one of the three.

SOFit is currently full.

Special Olympics Minnesota’s SOfit health promotion program is a Unified approach to improving and protecting health and wellness for people with and without intellectual disabilities. SOfit offers participants a comprehensive, 360-degree look at wellness and the human spirit. Together, athletes and Unified partners are empowered to challenge and change the way they look at diet, daily exercise and lifestyle choices.  For more information visit this link http://specialolympicsminnesota.org/athletes/sofit/.   The next SOFit program Date to be determined.  All athletes participating must be registered with Special Olympics MN. (application and medical physical is required)

Additional Sports information:

The Rochester Flyers are happy to offer the following sports to our athletes.  All practices are held once a week at various locations in Rochester.  Seasons are approximately 8-10 weeks long, and include optional competitions at the area and state level.  Specific practice dates and times may vary from year to year.  Signups typically occur 6 weeks prior to the first practice.

January-March

April-June

  • Athletics
  • Aquatics (Swimming)
  • Basketball

June-August

  • Bocce (Unified Sport option)
  • Golf (Unified Sport Option)
  • Softball

August-October

  • Flag Football (Unified Sport)
